SPICE series case disolving
Message #1 Posted by Steve B. on 13 July 2004, 5:59 p.m.

Has anyone seen the lining of a SPICE series case dissolve. The nylon lining inside my HP-33C case is turning to goo.

regards,

Steve

It is not the nylon lining that is the problem. It is the adhesive backing to the lining. Just toss the case in the washing machine. Stubborn cases may require a couple of cycles. Then prop open the opening and let it air dry. It should come out looking as good as new.

Much to my dis-belief, you are absolutely correct. After a cycle in the Maytag all the sticky black residue is gone.

I thought the case was finished like my 67 driver roller.

Thanks again. I love my 33C (My First HP)
