Array-less CCD also available
Message #1 Posted by Ángel Martin on 6 July 2004, 7:53 a.m.

Hi gang,

Short on the heels of Raymond's announcement (but not competing, nor racing), this is to let you know that another modified version of the CCD is also available on the "other site".

This one (CCD PLUS) consists of the original CCD module minus the Array functions group, which have been replaced with general utilities and Alpha/Display management functions.

In fact, and of course if one doesn't count the OS/X extensions, this and Raymond's contain quite a different function set. Much to the global community benefit, I trust.

So now you have a choice: either 4k or 8k CCD-based modules. Raymond's OS/X is a packed bundle, powerful extract of the best of the CCD in just one-page footprint. This one requires two pages, but has all the CCD functions (but the Array's) and yet much more, and is ideal to combine with the Advantage's Matrix functions; as CAT"4 does support the CCD extensions.

Hope you enjoy it.

Cheers, ÁM.

Dear Angel, dear Raymond,

thanks for your actual work on redesigning the powerfully CCD-Module. With your 4Kbyte or 8Kbyte solutions now we get full compatibility with the Advantage Module.

Please create some more advanced mcode rom solutions for the HP41 world. Do not forget the typically today systemconfiguration :

HP41CX + CCD + ADVANCED + EXT-I/O + EXT-IL

May be it is possible to create an additional 4KByte page containing mcode like sandbox, but please avoid doubling commands with existing modules... Also avoid the low letter mode - which is not compatible to the HP41 fullnut display....

Regards - Christoph Klug
