hp9830 HPIB interface Message #1 Posted by andy on 25 June 2004, 11:59 a.m. Does anyone know if the hpib interface to the 9835 will work on the 9830? I believe the part number for the 9835's interface was 98135. Thank you, Andy

In which case the HPIB interface is the 98034 IIRC I can tell you that the I/O buses of the 9825 and the 9830 are very different (the former has a 16 bit data bus, the latter 8 bit, for example) and the same interfaces do not fit both machines.

For the 9830 there was a special, rather primitive HP-IB interface (look at the 9830 HP-IB users guide on the MoHPC CD/DVD-ROM). I have one and it works fine. Achim
