HP48GX final production
Message #1 Posted by Karl Fred on 20 June 2004, 7:06 a.m.

I thought that this suoer machine ended its production in 2002, but yesterday i bought one that has this serial number: ID31600811. I also have a ID00303822. I bought the 48GX(black display) because first I bought the 49G+ which I find disgusting. Then now I do have 2 48GX.

The serial number on my 48GX(black display) is ID30800371, like you I also purchased an HP 49G+ and sold it for a new HP 48GX due to poor quality problems of the HP 49G+.

A local computer shop, it was new but old stock, they don't have any more though, cost equivalent to $160 to $170 USD.
