My 42s has the serial number 2839A*****. I've read here in MoHPC, that the lowest known number is 2832, so the mine has only seven weeks more, hasn't it? This unit has not the COMB bug described here

I own an older-design 42S (S/N 2939Snnnn) and have a newer-design 42S with recessed display made about a year later. The COMB/PERM bug appeared on all the earlier-"new" (1990-91) designs I tested, but not on my older one. I think a firmware revision coincided with the face changes.
