Does anyone have 16C S/N 2236A03277?

I was cleaning up this afternoon and I found the box of my first 16C (it was stolen along with my briefcase many moons ago). The serial number was written on the box. The box contained the protective foam "wallet" that the calculator came in, the Registration Card and the Service Card.

I wonder if it found a new home in any of your collections? The circumstances of its loss are no longer of consequence to me so please don't feel uncomfortable if you have it. The box made me a bit nostalgic so I thought I'd ask here because I'm sure you can appreciate the memories such a find dredges up.

If you have it, it will probably have my initials--cbp--etched (with a fine-tipped soldering iron IIRC) into either the rear of the case above the battery cover or inside the battery compartment.

If you do have it and it has no sentimental value to you, perhaps you'd consider swapping it for a near mint 16C (S/N 2840A87839). I'd love a picture of it even if you're not willing to part with it.

Thanks for reading, people.

Cameron

I have checked my collection and I'm sorry to say I don't have it. I would hope that if I did, I would have the moral fiber to return it to its proper home. I have been the victim of theft and it is something I don't think I'll ever get over, so I can imagine what you are feeling.

My condolences on your loss, Cameron, regardless of how long ago it might have been.

Patrick
