HP48SX- Opening Case
Message #1 Posted by cord on 27 Feb 2004, 9:56 a.m.

Guys & Gals, I'm having a problem with my shift keys not responding. They work only when pressing on the middle of the calculator beneath the screen. I was wondering if there's an easy way to open up the case and thicken whatever it is under the screen that helps the keys. In other words...how do I take it apart to see if I can figure out a solution to the problem ??

Did you make an autotest? Please try ON/D first.

I don't really know what an autotest is... could you explain how to do this and what it's for ?

Thanks, Cord

There are instructions for opening the 48 at hpcalc.org.
For example, try this or this or this.
