9825T memory
Message #1 Posted by Achim on 4 Feb 2004, 12:06 p.m.

I have a 9825T with memory problems. There are two memory boards installed: the standard board with 16k words (32kBytes), also containing the ROMs and an extended memory board with additional 16k words. When both boards are installed the machine doesn't come up, when I remove the ext. mem and set the appropriate memory jumper, the machine comes up but only has about 500 bytes free memory. To localize the fault I need the information what is the normal behaviour, when the ext. memory board is removed. Maybe someone also has observed the same failure. I assume a defective memory addressing.

TIA, Achim
