49G+ equation library
Message #1 Posted by AK on 11 Jan 2004, 12:17 p.m.

Does any expert here know how to access the equation library of 49G+? I purchased this calcultor just for that and the constant library feature. I know how to get to the constant library, but can't find the equation library. Where is it? Thanks.

The equation library is not in the 49g+. You can however install it. Look on hpcalc.org

From http://www.hpcalc.org/details.php?id=3181 you get eql49r27.LIB and put it in port 2 of your calc. From http://www.hpcalc.org/details.php?id=5871 you get x48EQ.LIB and put it together with the other lib. You warmstart [ON]+[F3]your calc and then, under the [APPS] list you will find the equation library. You can read the docs in the zip files if you want, they always help.

Thanks for your help. i figured it out by the way. all by myself. i tried the manual method (what you said), but it didn't work. i just copied the .lib files to "0" and there all i had to do is press the right arrow and then "Eval". honestly i was going nuts when i found out hp removed it, but all good now.

It is not there - it was removed

Apparently, it was in the 49g+ up until the very last minute and then removed.

Probably some countries schools object to that type of thing being built-in and that carries a lot of weight.

If you go to hpcalc.org, you'll find version 2.7 of an equation library program that is 98% of what would have been built-in.

I have it in mine and don't miss the built-in one.

Works like a charm.
