Son's friend killed(?) his TI...
Message #1 Posted by gifron on 9 Dec 2003, 1:50 a.m.

Even though my son offered to loan his TI-PC cable to his friend, said friend was impatient, and tried to "southern engineer" his own cable. He made the cable and ran the connection he thought was right, and now his TI-86 (or 89) is now totally unresponsive. It seems to be dead. Any constructive thoughts on reviving it?

Just a small request. If you don't mind, could you use some other expression other than "Southern Engineered?" It hurts (some) people's feelings. The expression originally referred to poor or unacceptable work performed by African-Americans. It was, used that way, an undeserved insult.

Thank you.
