batteries life

the 12c platinum has single coin battery instead of 3 pill shaped ones, it also operates at lower voltage i think. does this have a negative effect on performance and battery life?

The HP-12C Platinum is a complete redesign of the hardware. It's common for chips built with more modern design rules and processes to run at lower voltages, lower power consumption and higher speed. Power consumption can be traded for speed, and vice versa. It's up to the engineer to balance the competing requirements.
