HP42 Message #1 Posted by Sheileen on 18 Nov 2003, 4:41 a.m. I was wondering can anyone help me. My HP 42 calculator stopped working. I changed the batteries and it still doesn't work. Has anyone any ideas what I could possibly do now to get it to work?

Try a system reset first (ON+C), if this doesn't help, try a memory clear (ON+A+F). If this doesn't help either, remove the batteries and shorten the two battery contacts with a coin for a few seconds. Preferably be grounded while doing this to prevent possible, although unlikely, damage from ESD. This should get your calc up and running again. Good luck, and keep us informed! Victor
