HP 49G+ Message #1 Posted by Andreas Archenti, Stockholm on 10 Nov 2003, 5:19 p.m. Hi HP-friends. I have a problem.. My HP 49G+ will not start any more, it's says "Try to recover memory? Yes or Now". all over again... I have tried all basic things "at least thats what i think", Reset button etc. Any ideas, can it be the batteries ? greatfull for any ideas Best regards Andreas

After this the calculator functioned properly. May or may not work with yours. rdb.

A paperclip reset gave me the "Recover Memory? Yes or No" message. I said yes and it apparently recovered everything and put it in a new directory. Tom Scott

When the machine asks for a response to "...Memory? Yes/No" I found that the YES key, F6, was locked. I tried first pressing the F5 key and then the F6 key, and that worked for me.
