a change that will come because of the 49G+?

Now that the 49G+ has an SD expansion slot capable of holding many, many MB of programs and applications, I think a change will be coming.

To my knowledge (and that's imperfect), I don't think Library objects can be stored and/or accessed/run from Port 3 (the SD port).

Programs, however I think I read, can be run while stored on the SD card.

Many/most of the really good programs on the HPcalc.org site are in the form of libraries.

I think these will either get converted to normal programs (again) or new programs won't be constructed as libraries.

Imagine...most of the games you've ever thought of downloading from hpcalc.org in the 49G+ on an SD card.

most of the math programs you've ever thought of downloading from hpcalc.org in the 49G+ on an SD card.

most of the other applications you've ever thought of downloading from hpcalc.org in the 49G+ on an SD card.

All able to be with you and can be run at the touch of a couple of buttons.

Big change coming, IMO.

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to point this out. It seems a shame to have so many programs that will not run straight off SD.

If this happens, I just hope they continue to be available as HP48 libraries also, for those of us who will never be using a 49G+.
