[OT] BIG VERY BIG virus attack
Message #1 Posted by R Lion (Espaņa) on 19 Sept 2003, 8:46 a.m.

I have received more than 100 mails infected with virus in the last 24hours in my yahoo account...

It serves you well for making that e-mail address of yours publicly available ... :-)

Now seriously, don't worry, it's the usual "MS Corporation Technical Support" fake bs, you just don't open the virus-ridden "patch" and that's all, there are one or two like this each and every week, though I admit that receiving 100's at a time is somewhat unusual.

So much for yahoo's "advanced anti-spam technology" :-)

Best regards from V.

They are all coming from .RU (NT)

Most of them are those famous "Security patches" that we all receive. Also I receive from "Mail system administrator"... but now I'm receiving more than 10 per hour!! Now I'm trying to create good "Rules" with Outlook for deleting the undesired messages from yahoo before download them.

Yes, I'm also getting around 10 per hour (even during the night).
