Can the HP 82164A connect to the modern PC? I have Windows XP and was wondering if this is compatible. Please advise. Jeff

...and w/o any limitations. with an auxillary program (terminal program or my HPILCOM - if you want to give it a try: just drop me line-) on your pc, you can use your pc as a storage device for the HP41. if you want to store/retrieve programs, you also need the x-i/o module, however i am currently doing some synthetic programming on the HP41 to avoid the necessity of that module.

cheers, hans (remove all the 8 from mail address)

i am interested in seeing more of your synthetic programming efforts. have always been curious as to whether the specific functions in the X-i/o module could be programmed in user space on the 41. could or will you post your code here?

thanks, bs
