"A user's comments on two HP-42S emulators"
Message #1 Posted by Erik Ehrling (Sweden) on 3 Sept 2003, 3:21 p.m.

Hi!

This is a short note to tell that I just have uploaded a short presentation that I held at the HPCC London July meeting regarding the two HP-42S emulators Emu42 by Christoph Giesselink and HP-42X by "Hrastprogrammer" at:

Best regards, Erik Ehrling (Sweden)

In your presentation you said that Emu42 supports 32KB RAM. How do you set Emu42 to register 32KB instead of 8KB? That was a nicely put together presentation by the way, good job.

The emulator itself can only make HP42S state files with 8KB RAM. An external program is necessary to make one with 32KB RAM. The program is available at http://privat.swol.de/ChristophGiesselink/Lewis/Mke42.zip.
