Not so Big difference...
Message #1 Posted by Ernie Malaga on 25 June 2003, 10:52 a.m.

I don't see a big difference at all. Even the most trustworthy companies can hire unethical employees. It may happen at the restaurant, with a sleazeball waiter, or at the well-established electronics mail-order store, with a low-life customer service representative. The problem is that you don't know who stole your credit card information when unknown charges start appearing in your monthly statement.

Mike, you asked for opinions, and I gave you mine. If you disagree with it, just say so -- but there's no reason to patronize.

A waiter in a popular local restaurant was caught stealing credit card information about 1 month ago. Needless to say, word spread around town, and the restaurant is now on the edge of bankruptcy
