Platinun × Classical Voyagers: new LCD images
Message #1 Posted by Vieira, Luiz C. (Brazil) on 15 June 2003, 7:28 p.m.

Hi folks, Gordon;

I removed the previous LCD images and used two new ones. I tried to put them closer to each other in terms of resolution and quality, but I must tell you it's not yet the way I'd like it to be. Original post was this one and current images are these:

Classic

Platinun (from Gene's original picture, posted a couple of weeks ago)

Hope you enjoy them.

Hi Luiz,

Good work with the photos. I do prefer the older display, though that preference would not keep me from buying a machine with the new one if I had to.

(One thing though: I don't remenber if anyone brought this up in the past, but the fact that the new display doesn't have a "GRAD" annunciator makes it less likely that the 15C (or 11C) are going to be revived. Which is too bad. True, they could make another display for a new 15C, but they lose some economy of scale that way. If they were planning to make several new Voyagers, it would make more sense to design one new display for all of them.)
