$$$ Make money with your calculator junkyard
Message #1 Posted by Norm on 7 June 2003, 1:15 p.m.

$$$ There is a way you can make money with your calculator junkyard.

Here's how you do it:

Sell me the rubber keypad membrane from a SPICE calculator (i.e. HP-34C) etc. This is a cushioning piece that sits between the keytops and the dome switches.

No, I dont want to make my own out of a bicycle tire. I want a real one, and I am tired of trying to 'use the force' to make one appear out of thin air.

I'll pay you $6 for it and even throw in $1 for postage.

No damaged merchandize, if the kitty chewed the corner off then spare me the anguish.

That is how you make money with your calculator junkyard. Notify me at analogee@gte.net.

Surgery cannot start w/o parts from a donor.

Norm,

Send me your address and I'll send you an entire 31C. This is one I picked up years ago and the battery contacts are completely rotted away. The last time I tried it, though, it did work if you judiciously used some aluminum foil...

I got a 31C with real contacts to replace it and it's been sitting in the junk pile ever since. Someone might as well get some use out of it.

Isn't there another forum for WTB?

Hi Mike, You have my apologies for the mis-use of the chat board to buy something, but this was a medical emergency and I had to locate an organ donor pronto in order to save the patient. Had already tried it the other way (WTB) and can't say that it worked.

Will try not to do it again.
