BatteryLife_your record
Message #1 Posted by bill platt on 2 June 2003, 10:23 p.m.

There have been some posts recently about battery life. Let's see what sort of records we can break!

Mine is my wife's Elsi Mate (not an HP, oh well). 1981 and still going strong

22 years.

A picture is at:

I have an Elsi Mate (Sharp EL-8061E) serial #06014759. It used up so many batteries that it's been in the drawer unused for ten years!

it will be early LCDs that still used AA zinc carbon cells. after the early 80's they quickly figured out the madness and changed to button cells.

casio fx82 (all 6 of them) and the fx180p were like this. ah, but younger than '81.
