HP Journal on the HP42S ?
Message #1 Posted by jose goncalves on 26 Apr 2003, 6:04 p.m.

Is it possible that the Journal didn't have any reference to this superb product ? At least I was not able to find any ! I would like to know the stories about the development of the HP 42S, in that interesting and detailed style that made the Journal so famous among us. If we don't have anything is there any other place I can find something ? I remember hearing someone talking about a special issue of HPCC or was it a Keynote ?

I found it !

I found it, but it was not in the Journal. It's the Aug-Dec 1988 issue of the HPX Exchange (V1N6) and most of the pages are dedicated to commentaries on the HP 42S. It even has the (probably) first software routine for doubling the processing speed of the calculator.

Why not the Journal ?

and that routine was here on the web...
