HP 28C - Disabling the beep?
Message #1 Posted by Mike on 7 Apr 2003, 6:51 p.m.

I've had my HP 28C for years, but it sat in a closet for a few of those years, unused. Now that I'm using it regularly again, I can't remember all the bells and whistles. I've got the Museum's CD to replace my lost manual, but I still can't find one piece of info:

How do I disable the error beep? (For instance, if I hit DROP twice when there's only one entry on the stack, it'll beep once for the extra DROP.)

Thanks, Mike

On the 28S you set flag 51. Might be the same for the 28C.

Yep, that's it! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I was thinking it was a key combination (like ON and "+" for the contrast).
