hp42s lcd replacement

my lcd is in really bad bad shape. can i replace this with any other lcd screen? like a 10b or 20s?

thx....is there any cheaper calc I could use lol...the hp42 i have is not the greatest condition, so I'm not looking for mint...

Randy Sloyer answered this pretty completely in: this post -- no, you need another LCD from an HP-27s, or an HP-17B or BII. (... or, of course, another HP-42s.)

Look under "Repairs and Batteries" for my "Pioneer Repairs" article, where you'll find limited coverage of how to swap out the LCD. Post any additional questions here.
