Re: Strange turn of events Message #3 Posted by Tony David Potter on 13 Mar 2003, 11:34 a.m., in response to message #1 by Tony David Potter
Here's the result of my latest inquiry - According to her, the scientific will not be graphing, and it _should_ be from a different manufacturer than the HP-30 & HP-9 series.
Of course, it'd be nice if the website (http://www.hp.com/support/calculators) actually worked.
Letter attached:
Hello,
Here in technical support, all we know is that there will be at
least
one new finance, one new RPN scientific, and one new graphing
calculator
out by the end of the year. We have not been given any release
dates,
nor any further info about the calculators.
I can say that the difference between the Scientific and the
graphing is
the scientific does not have graphing, therefore, the new RPN
scientific
would (hopefully) be RPN, non-graphing, shirt pocket size. I'm
sure
they will continue to create new RPN calculators. In case you
haven't
heard, www.fixthatcalc.com repairs and refurbishes the pioneer
series,
including the 42S, 32S, 32SII, 17BII, etc.
As for the body or keyboard, yet again, we have no idea. I can
say I
believe (nothing official at all) that we have new designers so
maybe
they will be very different from both styles.
I hope what little information we can offer is helpful, and keep
an eye
out at www.hp.com/support/calculators for new models.
It is important to us that we answer your question. If you need
further assistance, please reply to this message, we will be
happy to
help you.
Sincerely,
Amanda
