75D manuals and IO
Message #1 Posted by Christof on 5 Feb 2003, 3:43 p.m.

Thanks to Mike for having more of the 75/71 magnetic cards, I now have a pretty fully enabled 75D.

Do the manuals on the CDROM set have any specific D mod counterparts?

also- does anyone have a copy of the HP75 I/O manual available for copying, sale, scanning? I would be willing to scan for future CD inclusion.

And, are there any code listing floating around?

-Christof (who 'needs' a non podded 75 now)

Also, having the bar code wand, I am curious if it is usable in any form without a bar-code ROM.......

Hi,

I have both the 75 i/o rom manual and the 75 i/o functions manual (the manual to the HIPILCMDS LEX file).

I have been meaning to scan them in for some time now so this may be a good excuse.

Maybe I can get to it sometime early next week.

that would be most excellent, thanks!- especially if they made their way to the museum CD8 :)

I think I am lacking that lexfile. I need to go look through my files some more.

The 75 I/O Utilities manual is on the new CD6 under calculator software. Also, the 75 pod contains a ROM that allows reading of two bar codes, 39 and 11. I don't know what code 11 is but code 39 is what Radio Shack uses in place of UPC on their packages. BTW, you can remove the 75 from the pod but then you won't have a battery cover and if it is like mine, it is modified to allow a beeper to be plugged in externally.

(up this late training a "new" laserjet III to print manuals.)

yeah, mine was modified to allow a plug in speaker. I havne't used it yet, but plan to when I get the "automated house" stuff a bit further along.

I'm curious if there is any way to generate CODE 39 (or 11) for use....

and, time to upgrade my CD set, though I am still interested in the lexfile and whicher one of the manuals isn't in the CD set.
