Re: How to print to HP 82240B printer for HP 41CX Message #7 Posted by James M. Prange on 6 Feb 2003, 2:08 a.m., in response to message #1 by Nick Nicholas
The 82240 printer's interface is unidirectional. The transmitting device has to "pace" long data streams to allow the printer to keep up. For more information see http://www.hpcalc.org/details.php?id=4742
If you don't have the 82242A IR module for the 41, but do have some way of transmitting the data to the 48's RS-232 serial port (by wire, that is), then you should be able to use the 48 to relay the data to the printer. That's the method I use to print to the 82240 from the 49G, which also lacks IR.
