41C repairs needed in Germany
Message #1 Posted by Randy Sloyer on 1 Feb 2003, 6:37 p.m.

I received an email from a 41C user in Germany looking for help with his only HP calculator. Does anyone know of an individual or company that can fix an ailing 41C over there? It sure would save a lot of postage and time.

Seems to go dead intermittently and then display strange characters when it comes back to life.

Some years ago there exist a third party company from HP which repairs failured handhelds - including the HP41. But now every support is colsed, and I do not know any company in Germany who repairs HP handhelds today...

Best wishes from Germany - Christoph Klug

Maybe it's cheaper to try to get a replacement HP-41 through the museum ads, or even eBay.

Another idea: There should be links to repair services somewhere on the museum site.

Regards,

Raymond
