Thanks for all the replies folks.
My curiosity is more whether the new chip is based on a Saturn CPU, or whether they used the standard pre-Saturn/post-Woodstock architecture shared on Voyager & 41C, etc.
Does anyone have an old 12C new (cheapie) 12C to compare numeric results? Might tell us if firmware was changed.
It'd be way cool if this new chip had onboard flash ROM and we knew how to reburn it. Then all we'd need is new keytops :)
