HP 67 also an early “Game Boy”

IMHO, the HP 67 was also* an early “Game Boy.” A real Games Pac was available for it and the most popular program in the HP 67/97 Users’ Library was the amazing 7 mag card Star Trek program. I even bought a checkers program and my 67 really played it, though not very well. Nowadays, there are several chess programs for the 48!

Visit my site comparing the 48GX with the Nintendo Game Boy Color: http://hometown.aol.com/btsbrighteyes/HP48-CGB.html

*“Also,” in the sense that it was a real calculating tool first. :-)

Very interesting comparison. The Game Boy has its own fans too. For example, see http://www.devrs.com/.

I forgot to mention that the checkers for the HP 67/97 was all on one mag card! That’s pretty amazing in itself.
