EDUCALC SERVICE MODULE
Message #1 Posted by Michel Beaulieu on 28 Nov 2002, 11:46 a.m.

Someone wants to self test his CX with a module : on my calc, my "double" module is also written "EDUCALC SERVICE MODULE". When i asked the question, some users told me that it is a x-memory with double capacity : It is true, with the module plug, i have 600 b Extended memory (without it is 124 i think).

Is that module also a service module as the mame suggest? how to acess the commands?

Thanks Michel

Another unknown module... for me ;-)

May be a service module for testing the HP-75C/D RAM/Modem pod. I use one and can test it for you if you want. Regards.

Hi;

execute [CAT] 2 with nothing but this module. The standard available functions should be:

-TIME 2X
-CX TIME
-EXT FCN 2X
-CX EXT FCN
, where 2X is the version/revision type, being X an id (letter). If any other module is plugged in AND it has a header (module's name), this header should appear between -CX TIME and EXT FCN 2X. If you plug a card reader, you would have:
-TIME 2X
-CX TIME
CRD RDR 1X
-EXT FCN 2X
-CX EXT FCN
, being 1X its identifier.

Plug in the module and execute [CAT] 2. If nothing appears, chances are this is just a double X-Memory module.

One question: I do not know if it is possible to plug a ROM module in an HP41 and have its functions suppressed from [CAT] 2. Does anybody know anything about it?

Regards.

Nothing add in CAT2 so it's just a double x-mem module. Thanks!
