HP41 Memory Modules
Message #1 Posted by Ty Rogers on 27 Oct 2002, 9:32 a.m.

What memory modules are for what calculators? Will the Quad memory, 82106A, X memory modules work in all three 41 calculators?

Hi;

plan memory modules as Quad Memory and single 82106A will ONLY work with the HP41C; both HP41CV and HP41CX will not use them and you may disrupt calculator operation if you try using them.

X-Memory will work fine directly in an HP41CX, because it can only be ccessed by X-Functions. Anyway, if you have an HP41C/CV with X-Functions, X-Memory will work fine, too.

Just an advice about X-Memories: maximum of tweo modules in a plan HP41 (I do not know anytinhg about modified calculators). And, in this case, a simple rule: plae them sided to eachother, never in the same column: internal connections will not allow two X-Memory to work in the same column.

Hope this clarifies.

Cheers.

Quad (82170A) or single memory modules (82106A) can only be used in the HP-41C, not the CV or CX.

You can use either *one* Quad memory *or* up to four single memory modules.

Up to *two* X-Memory modules (82181A) can be used in the C, CV, or CX.

In the C or CV you need an additional X-Functions module (82180A) to gain access to the X-Memory. The CX has the X-Functions built-in.

Raymond
