HP 41CX Byte Grabber??
Message #1 Posted by paul on 13 Oct 2002, 3:28 p.m.

How can a 'byte grabber' be assigned to a key WITHOUT doing a total memory wipe on the 41?

Thanks

Paul

Hi;

I'm not gonna tell you about wiping all memory out, but I just want to add two small advice for dealing with Synth Programming on the HP41:

1 - AVOID using

[GTO] [.][.]

Does it help?

Cheers.

The mass storage (card reader, disk drive, tape drive) work great, The PPC ROM has a hey assignment program in the ROM. If you have a bar code reader, there are several good key assignment programs. I could look up the decimal codes for the byte grabber (BG7). Email me if you need a hard copy of the bar codes, etc for key assignment programs (free).
