HP1XC accessories
Message #1 Posted by Adrian on 6 Sept 2002, 6:08 p.m.

It used to be possible to buy spares for the 10C series - soft cases and battery covers - from HP, but I can't find the reference on their web pages any more.

Does anyone still have stocks ?

Hi;

do you remember how was it accomplished in the past? I'd like to know. A few months ago, the last HP42S availabel at Hewlett-Packard's stock were "engulfed" by people arround here. If there is any sort of Voyagers (HP1XC) in stock, they'll also be gone fastly.

Cheers.

It wasn't older 1xC models that were for sale - just spare parts. There was a reference somewhere on HP's web pages for the 12C (perhaps in the FAQ ?) that claimed spare battery doors and slip cases could be ordered from HP. Of course, they'd fit the other models, too.

The HP12C battery doors could very well NOT fit the older machines. HP changed the design of the later HP12 units to use a single coin cell battery and the door style changed.

It does not fit, for sure. Another, very different layout.
