I was searching my stuff, and found EduCALC Catalog #25 (c) 1985. The cover read "HP-41 floats in mid-air. Sally Ride relaxes on the SPACE SHUTTLE. See a picture at:

Neat. That picutre of Sally Ride is also on a Smithsonian web page about the role of the HP-41C in the space shuttle program: http://www.nasm.si.edu/nasm/dsh/artifacts/GC-hewlett-.htm.

Many thanks for the interesting links. Did anyone here ever encounter a NASA ROM for the HP41?
