today in my travels i found . .

a looseleaf containing the following: 1)HP67/97 User's Library Catalog of Contributed Programs, Addendum #1, July 1977 2)HP67/97 User's Library Catalog of Contributed Programs, Addendum #2, April '78 3)HP67/97 User's Library Catalog of Contributed Programs, Addendum #3, Nov '78 4)Catalog of Contributed Programs for the HP41C, HP67 & HP97 (marked 5955-8602 ADDENDUM on the back cover) 5)Catalog of Contributed Programs for the HP41C, HP67 & HP97 (marked Nov 1979 on the inside front cover) 6)Contributor's Guide for the HP41C, HP67 & HP97 (marked 5953-1933 on the back cover). the first three are merely standard paper groups, the last three are manuals comparable to a Users Library style manual

sometimes i ask myself that same question! really, i live in a fairly small city (55K) compared to some of the previous larger cities i lived in; but wherever i go, i always am on the prowl for paperwork/docs/manuals/etc. i'm the guy at flea markets, swap meets, garage sales, etc thats digging thru the boxes to the bottom, looking for those items everyone else missed. http://home.att.net/~btuttleman/barrysite.html

From what I have read about the user's library, the catalogs would be tantalyzing but frustrating because the library archive itself has been lost - or lost track of. One possible benefit might be to use the catalogs as references to re-assemble the library by making the contents of the catalogs available publicly (with HP's permission, of course) and then asking people who might have copies of the library programs to submit them to a collection point.

who's best to handle this? i don't have the time, is this a job for david? dave, if you read this i am going to the foothill college swap (los altos, i think you're in the SF bay area, aren't you?), and want to deal w/ this, let me know ASAP, as i leave friday night about midnite to make it to the swap! tnx, barry carson city, nv
