New HP calculator photo ??? Message #1 Posted by ekirnam on 18 Apr 2002, 7:33 a.m. Hello, Seeing next HP Handheld 728 photo I noticed that other machines were there. Look it at: http://www.microsoftmobilitypress.com/site/extras/pics/normal/oem/hpcommanche2.jpg See at left side in the photo.. Is it a calculator or not? It seems it.. Ok, the photo seems to be a 3D realistic drawing, but at least shows something complete diference from actual units.. Have fun, J.Manrique CdU de la ETSIG

(Brazil) Maybe THAT's what will get HP to reissue the -42s -- integrate it with a cell phone! Sexy new product idea, amazing functionality, and wireless up/download thrown in for a bargain! (Not to mention the extra sales to people who never bother to activate a phone account . . . ) HP, are you listening? (You could announce it by next April . . . )

Cell phones and Calculators have something in common that PDAs don't have. Dedicated numeric keys! As more cell phones are incorporating displays (for text messaging and phone number listings) many share a display as well. Maybe TI or Casio will do it, I'm not holding out any hope that HP monitors this site.

At front left is a standard-issue hotel room key, and in the background at right is a standard-issue hotel bed with a standard-issue business traveller suitcase (not Samsonite - the other major brand) on it. This way, you could use it to call tech support since 90% of the functions won't be in the manual.
