Message #1 Posted by Michael Weinbrecht on 24 Feb 2002, 1:37 a.m.

My 42S makes a continuous beep when it switches on. It is possible to repair?

My answer was first ment as joke. But afterwards I thoght too that it may help if you let the bats out over night.

If the batteries of a 42 are allmost empty the 42 will cry...

Put in fresh batt. and the beep is gone.

I used my spare 42 too long with the batt symbol on, after which i didn't use it for over 4 weeks. Suddenly it began to beep ! As a sort of warning: put in fresh batt or I will lose my programs......
