Finnegan ROMs
Message #1 Posted by Mike on 9 Jan 2002, 10:42 p.m.

I have two HP-41 ROMs that are marked:

Finnegan

Forcast1 (82500A-A16) Forcaster2 (85200A-27)

The naming is not consistent but they have 1 and 2. What I'd like to know is this a 2 ROM set OR two individual ROMs that are used independant of each other.

Any suggestion as to where documentation can be obtained?

Hi,

no I don't know anything about these modules, but the names indicate they could have been used in some statistical area, such as weather forecasting.

Regards,

Raymond

I believe these ROMS were for Stock Market forecasting using some formulas for technical analysis (which really does not work).

Hi;

Do they list something new in CAT 2? If so, would you place a list in here with their contents? Maybe it would give us a clue for their use.

Best regards.

(AFAIK, only Memory Modules and X-Memory do not add labels/functions names to Catalog 2; is there any other device that doesn`t?)

The service module comes to mind -- it just takes over the calculator.
