Sting paper
Message #1 Posted by Todd Garabedian on 5 Jan 2002, 3:33 p.m.

Does anyone know of a replacement source for rolls of paper for the Sting series (HP-10A, HP-19C)?

I've been using NCR thermal calculator paper (2.25 in) from Staples in my Topcats, and it works great, but I need a source for my Stings.

Thanks, Todd

I saw a guy that built a splitter for the wide 3 inch wide NCR rolls. He took a block of balsa wood (3x3x12 inches), glued some pieces of plywood to the sides to form a trough, mounted a vertical razor blade in the edge, used another piece of plywood to hold the paper down in the trough as he pulled it past the razor blade.

An off-the-shelf source is Sav-On office supply. They have boxes of 5 (?) rolls (not as long as HP's) in their catalog. Most of their stores don't stock it but can get in in within 24 hours.
