11C w/ Serial # Misprint on case
Message #1 Posted by Marc Vigeant on 1 Jan 2002, 11:11 a.m.

After posting an auction on Ebay, an Honest viewer of this forum told me that the serial number stamped into the plastic case does not match the production years of 1981-1989. The serial # is: 2035A00207 Decoded is the 35th week of 1980, before production started? See my Ebay Auction at http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1316802486 Please let me know if this is a one of a kind or very early unit.

Elsewhere on this site is a list of earliest know serial number date codes (see http://www.hpmuseum.org/collect.htm#earliest). The earliest date code shown in that list for an HP-11C is two weeks before yours.
