Re: hp41 compatability today Message #2 Posted by Vieira, Luiz C. (Brazil) on 23 Nov 2001, 12:00 p.m., in response to message #1 by haga
Hello;
In fact, there is no calculator still in production that directly runs 41's applications. Anyway, some possibilities are:
1-41's emulator that runs in any 48G or 49; there is also an available emulator that runs in a PCM card, but I believe this card is available only for the S-series (48S/SX)
2-using a 42S - off-production, but available at e-bay or at classified ads at this site
3-far from a solution, the 32SII will run a few applications if correctly converted. Some 41's programs can be reduced in some steps if specific 32S' features are invoked
4-if time is available, any program written to the 41 can be rewritten to the 48. Some will be shrunk, others will need a complete, new version, as programming structure for both is not completely equivalent.
If you need to run an HP41 program in another calculator, let us know. For sure someone will help.
Cheers
