HP-20S:How do I store memory?(i have no manual)
Message #1 Posted by cam on 6 July 2001, 5:48 a.m.

Can someone please tell me how to store numbers in the (running) memory of the HP 20S, or (even better) tell me where i can get an owner's manual? I looked on the HP support-site and you can download most manuals but not the one for the 20S ; you have to order one for a ridiculous price.

The HP-20S has ten storage registers R0 thru R9. They're accessed via the STO and RCL keys. If you wanna save the number in the display into register 3, for example, you'd press STO followed by 3. The number in the display will be stored in register R3, without being dropped.

The recall function is, likewise, straightforward: press RCL followed by the one-digit register number.

To cancel STO or RCL after having pressed the keys, press the C (ON key) or the Backspace.

Hope this helps.
