HP32sII display contrast
Message #1 Posted by William Pearson on 24 Oct 2001, 10:41 a.m.

The display contrast on my HP32sII calculator is very poor at all but the optimal viewing angle. Even when they are not highlighted, I can see all the pixels on the background of the display. My battery indicator seems to be empty, although I have new batteries.

Is there some secret setting that allows one to adjust the display contrast on the HP32sII?

Should the battery indicator be full or empty?

Not a secret, the Manual says "press and hold the ON-key, then press + or - to adjust the contrast" (translated from the german manual, so don't expect to find the exact phrase somewhere...)

It should not be visible, like the left/right-shift-annunciators if not pressed.
