HP11C low batt. indicator
Message #1 Posted by Erwin on 24 Oct 2001, 5:12 a.m.

Hello,

Since my HP15C gives an error on the selftest, i can not check this myself. When a selftest (of my HP11C) is completed oké, it shows " -8,8,8,8,8,8,8,8,8,8, " and all indicators. But not the indicator for low battery. Is this normally the case, and does the low battery indicator never show after the selftest, while all other indicators do show-up.

Thanks, Erwin

Hello.

In the Voyager series (10C, 11C, 12C, 15C and 16C) the low battery indicator (an asterisc) flashes anytime the batteries are low. I do not remember seeing it lit, even flashing, when self-test ended UNLESS batteries are low. I can tell, for sure, that even when the batteries are low, it flashes BUT stays off when the calculator is ON and the display is off (flashing intervals when running or flag 9 set). Anyway, even when the calculator is OFF, the asterisc flahes for low-batt condition.

A little correction:

I can tell, for sure, that even when the batteries are low, it flashes AND stays off when the calculator is ON and the display is off
