concorde on Dateline NBC
Message #1 Posted by R.J. Bied on 20 Aug 2001, 10:31 a.m.

Did anyone see 'Crash of the Concorde' on Dateline NBC? I didn't watch the whole broadcast, but did see the portion where the pilot was entering flight data on what appeared to be an HP95LX handheld. Anyone else catch this?

I did not see it, but Air France has used the HP-41 for years on-board their Concorde's. As far as I know they still do ... something about it's easier to keep using them than to get a different computer air-worthiness approved.

I saw the story and did see the HP200LX. I seem to remember that they had "upgraded" to the HP200LX from the 41's at some point. There might be some info on this in the archives at palmtoppaper.com.
