HP 65 serial number Message #1 Posted by Edwin Morales on 30 July 2001, 2:27 p.m. HP 65 was introduced January 1974. First series are 1333? Question: There are series 1340, for example? or all the calculators from Jan 1974 are 1333?

It seems it is more like a production run number. I have seen 1333 units with serial numbers over 30,000... HP did not have the production capacity to crank out 30,000 of these units in one week.
