38G and bloody Algebraic mode!!!
Message #1 Posted by Steve (Australia) on 30 Sept 2000, 9:41 a.m.

I just picked up an HP38G for a reasonable price and I find the thing uses that silly, unituitive, absurd, NON-RPN way of doing things.

Since there's a big key called ENTER I suppose there's some way of changing a mode on this calculator to make it work like a real one.

What is it?

There is no way to change the input logic. The HP38G is an Algebraic calculator only.

Sorry

I was afraid someone was going to say that. :-(

It's actually not so bad once you've got your head around it. But having an ENTER key there is a bit of a distraction :-)
