HP-34C charger question
Message #1 Posted by Matthew Riehl on 19 Sept 2000, 3:20 p.m.

There has been some posts lately that concern using chargers on HP-20 series calculator with bad (or no batteries) and how this can cause damage to these calculators.

Is this also true of the HP-34C and it's charger?

In my experience, 30-series (Spice) calculators are somewhat less likely to die due to overvoltage, but it is still definitely a VERY BAD idea to use them with the charger without good batteries inside.

Thanks Vitkor, I have one coming and wanted to make sure. I guess that if the batteries are bad I'll wait to use it until I replace them.
