Does anyone know where one can find a new roller. Secondly is there a special tool required to remove the roler gear assembly? Thanks!

You can replace the roller with standard hardware store O-Rings. I believe that they are .125" I.D. and .250" O.D., but check the "How To" article in the Article Forum on this website for exact dimensions. Just remove the old rubber from the internal metal shaft, clean everthing thoroughly, and put the O-Rings where the original rubber was.

You don't need any special tools, just small screw drivers and maybe a set of needle nose pliers. I did invest in a small set of screw drivers from Radio Shack, just to have some good quality small screw drivers more than anything else.

Mathew, Thanks for the info. I have one more question. The red and blue wires that connect to the head and bridge have become disconnected. Do you know which connection point on the bridge for the red and blue wires.

Here is a drawing of the where the wires from the Read/Write Head attach to the "bridge" circuit board.

Hope this helps.
